I am a college graduate from the University of New York at Albany where I received a BA in American History. My educational accomplishments complement 10 years of considerable experience in public service, customer service, contact center operations, food service management, and event coordination. Throughout my employment history, I have consistently stood out among my peers by exhibiting a superior work ethic, characteristics of a natural leader, and effective written and verbal communication skills.I am currently employed by the New York State Senate as a Constituent Liaison in the office of New York State Senator Zellnor Myrie. My role as a constituent liaison include building relationships with community leaders in Brownsville, handling constituent walk-ins and fielding constituent phone calls at the district office and the Brownsville satellite office, investigating constituent cases in order to find resolutions, coordinating events in partnership with community based organizations, city agencies, and the offices of different elected officials, representing the senator's office at different community meetings with stake holders, and community outreach through neighborhood canvassing efforts. . I was previously employed by Maximus Inc., an organization that provides business process services to government health and human services agencies. My role was that of a Senior Administrator of Appeals in the appeals department, where I helped advance the efficient work flow of appeal processing through a number of different daily and weekly tasks. My responsibilities were administrative in nature, which included but were not limited to: training incoming staff, writing drafts for potential job aids, processing appeal requests, scheduling time-sensitive appeal hearings, reviewing documents submitted as evidence for appeals, updating Excel spreadsheets for data tracking purposes, data entry, and fielding high volume inbound calls. I was also hand selected to work on special projects directed by the Department of Health.I have been described as knowledgeable, ambitious, driven, reliable, and personable.
