-Researched photocatalytic nature of bismuth – based nanoparticles in pulsed laser ablations in liquids (PLAL)-Ablated bismuth with a pulsed laser at 30mJ and 100mJ at 1064nm in either a vacuum, CO2 chamber, or ambient conditions to create and analyze structure and morphology of nanomaterials -Investigated dye degradation of nanomaterials mixed with methyl blue by UV lamp irradiation in 20 minute intervals for a span of 3 hours in both light and dark environments-Performed UV – Vis spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy to collect data and images of samples -Conducted PL Spectroscopy to examine fluorescence-Collected and analyzed data on each nanostructure by calculating and graphing absorbance values, percent changes, and wavelengths over time-Exercised proper lab safety and handling of equipment, chemicals, gases, and laser systems-Presented Research at conference at Montclair State University and at Rutgers University – Camden CURCA event
