At treasury primarily responsible for managing and hedging the cash pool balances that customers hold at BMG in various currencies. The net balances of the cashpools are covered in the Money Market through a depot or through a Foreign Exchange Swap.Within the BMG treasury team, I also execute currency conversions for customers. This can be the result of a 'netting' as well as one-off currency conversions (including fund transfers). Currency conversions are hedged in the Foreign Exchange Spot or Forward Market.

Main purpose of netting is to centralize and settle (intercompany) payments and receivables of a customer. Using a multilateral method it is possible to net across many different participants and in many different currencies. As a result of this the number of settlements is reduced to mostly one settlement per entitiy per netting run. Also the FX exposure is reduced as a result of netted payments.Besides the execution of the netting also the first contact for customers in case of questions and problems. Also provided training sessions for (new) customers to let them get familiair with BMG's netting system.
