Human Resources ManagementI supervise 4 federal employees and have been doing so for over 10 years in software development life cycles. I assign work, track my subordinate’s achievements and appraise their performance. I write and have written multiple performance standards, performed mid-year reviews and annual performance evaluations to evaluate their performance on these tasks. Under my supervision, I foster an atmosphere free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and I am committed to recruiting, hiring, and developing a diverse set of employees. I made a well-informed and objective decision to promote one of my deserving disabled employees to their next grade.Configuration Management/Change ManagementI am the Configuration Manager for OCWC which makes me responsible for managing all configuration management in DDCPS and Division of Safety and Health Systems (DSHS). In this position, I established and implemented the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) Configuration Management (CM) policies within the DDCPS and DSHS. This project required that I used an iterative development method, test, deploy, and practice sound configuration management and change management to successfully complete this project. I explained complex methodologies so they could be understood and the stakeholders could implement their specific CM policies.I administer the CM tools and train other CM staff to administer these tools, which includes SBM, Serena PVCS Version Manager, and Collabnet Subversion for both DCPS and DSHS. I along with my team members migrated 100% of DSHS and 80% of DDCPS source code and supporting files from Serena PVCS Version Manager (VM) to Subversion. This required installing the server and client software, creating user guides, training and educating staff on use of the software and setting up best practices.
