The app connects to an Apple Watch or Lively Wearable device which the user can use to contact Urgent Response services.● For my first two years, I worked on the backend for Lively Link, an app available on web, iOS, and Android. The application helps caretakers monitor the activities of older adults. I worked on the APIs that the app used and verified that device analytics such as location and battery status were making it from the user's devices including flip phones, smartphones, and personal emergency response devices to the Lively Link app. Troubleshooting was done with searching aggregated logs, analyzing messages sent between services, viewing messages sent by devices, and looking through databases. The UI contained lists of titles and had options for filtering lists, generating Excel reports, validating metadata, viewing title details, and adding title notes. My test cases included UI testing, functional testing, integration with Starz web services, integration with Deluxe web services, and reporting. While Starz is a subscription-based service, the Nook Video app was based on purchases and required testing the addition, validation, and removal of user rights.● The devices I used for client application testing included iPod Touches, iPhones and iPads from iOS 5 and up, Android phones and tablets from Android 2.3.x and up including Amazon and Barnes & Noble tablets, Roku 2 and beyond, Chromecast, and Samsung TVs. My favorite device is any device that has Angry Birds installed on it.● I've worked with DeviceAnywhere to try and automate device testing. My goals in this process were to make the actions as generic as possible to allow scalability across multiple devices using different versions of operating systems and to use valid checkpoints to verify the app's state in each step of the script. In the informal adult classes of one to four students, I used company textbooks to teach topics ranging from ordering at a restaurant or talking about hobbies with lower-level students to discussing current news stories and using business language with advanced students.● In larger year-long media classes, I used materials such as a CNN video or a newspaper article to introduce students to critical thinking skills in English. I kept a record of the students progress throughout the year and held counseling sessions with individual students on how to improve on their weak areas.● I had a blast teaching kids ranging from 2 to 12 years old. I showed them new words and structures with flashcards and actions, encouraged repetition, and played fun games with the new vocabulary. ● I tested a download manager application designed for videos downloads for clients such as Fox TV and the NBA. Most testing was done on websites created for clients and many painful hours were spent checking compatibility with IE6.● I navigated through mobile sites to test downloads of wallpapers, audio, and videos for phones. I verified the back-end processes of content ingestion, video transcoding, content management, and license delivery for these mobile sites.

● I applied a standard test plan to Verizon and U.S. Cellular phone applications. I tested for basic product and network functionality, compliance to Qualcomm’s BREW platform, interaction with core phone functions, and compatibility with a subset of targeted phones.
