Project responsibilities as Product Engineer include development of glass assemblies to meet customer specifications using customer provided studio surfaces from concept to launch. Facilitated design reviews to communicate customer product specifications to PGW plants for confirmation of feasibility of part shape for part production. Created DFMEAs, engineering timelines and six sigma capability documents. Write internal work orders for design team CAD modeling development and drawing creation which I checked and reviewed for accuracy to meet customer specifications. Components developed include injection molded plastic parts, rubber moldings and spacers and wire harnesses. New Product Design• Fixed Glass: Ford U625 Explorer/U611 Aviator Windshields and Back lights, S922 Ford GT Windshield, Laminated Hybrid Engine Cover and Gorilla Glass Bulkhead, U502 Ford Explorer Windshield, Tempered Back light and Quarter glass. U553 Expedition/U554 Navigator Tempered Rear Quarter glass.• Movable Glass: S550 Ford Mustang Tempered Door glass, F150 Ford Pick Up truck laminated Door glass, C520/C489 Ford Escape Laminated Door glass, D544 Lincoln Continental laminated Door glass.Problem Solving• F150 Laminated Door glass: Developed new style of bonded on regulator attachment clip for unique cut in glass profile so current production parts could be reused eliminating new tooling costs.• C520 Ford Escape: Developed test for determining how much deflection of bonded on glass clip affects glass movement during a door slam to confirm new clearance zone specifications. New clearance zone specifications were intended to eliminate current glass breakage issue caused by glass hitting interior door components during door slams.
