- Working with the design director to develop project overviews and estimates for timing and hours- Managing new projects from start to finish ensuring client requirements are met- Mentoring and working with other engineers and industrial designers as a collaborative team- Working with Industrial Designers to determine manufacturing feasibility of products- Liaison with clients during the development process to ensure specifications and design elements are met- Liason with suppliers for developing prototypes, through submission of models and drawings with detailed media as required- Communicate with suppliers in the development and sign off on production tooling through the DFM processes.- Communications with clients regarding prototype issues and suggest changes where necessary- Presenting designs to small teams and clients through media and online collaboration software, as well as face to face meetings.- Mechanical design of products based on customer specifications and Industrial Design inputs- Fully literate and advanced usage of both Catia and Solidworks CAD systems- Generation of 3d CAD models for all levels of design through concept to production- Create mechanical detail drawings including tolerancing and bill of materials where required- Tolerance stack-up studies for assembled products- Organization and maintaining CAD files with company numbering and revisioning standards- Calculations and studies for mechanical assemblies where required- Determine the optimal materials and hardware for products to meet end product performance- Concept generation of products for clients- Checking and reviewing of junior level and industrial designers drawings prior to tooling and/or prototype release.- Creation of PCB layout drawings and work with electronics suppliers when necessary- Working with APP developers to co-ordinate software development as related to products that require application and software integration.

Onsite and classroom based instructor for all levels of Catia V5, including advanced surfacingTraveled to customer locations to provide design support, often on very tight deadlines and challenging projects. Customer technical support via phone and email for advanced technical issues regarding Catia.Taught 24 new engineers Catia V5 at Augusta-Westland Helicopters in Philadelphia in 2 weeks.
