Education: Originally from Tralee, Co. Kerry, I obtained an Honours B.Comm (2001) and qualified as a CAI Chartered Accountant (2005). Between 2009 and 2010, I completed an Executive MBA in University College Cork, one of Ireland's leading MBA programmes with a focus on developmental leadership education in a knowledge economy. I graduated first in class with First Class Honours & Distinction and obtained an award for outstanding student to recognise my contribution to the programme.Career:23 years Big 4 professional services experience including two year secondments to London and New York offices.Serving as a Board member and executive committee member since 2018, I was President of Cork Chamber of Commerce and chair of the Board from May 2022 to May 2024. Throughout my career I have provided a broad range of corporate finance services (including M&A, transaction services, valuations, restructuring and debt/capital advisory).In the past I have provided both formal and informal services to banks and corporates including personally taking receivership appointments, liquidations, debt advisory, working capital management and completing independent business reviews. I also have experience in the provision of external audits, risk management and governance advice and technical accounting advice across a range of reporting frameworks. Furthermore I have experience of delivering outsourced internal audit services to public, private and semi state bodies along with practical experience in the application of a number of key public/private guidelines. Other interests include my current role as President and Chair of the Board of Cork Chamber of Commerce.
