After a banking career where I worked in 12 countries on 3 continents and rose from a Teller to Senior Vice President, I founded Ron Craig Consulting Limited to specialize in bridging the gap between technology and business management. Working in the financial services industry I assisted companies to plan, manage and implement large information technology projects. Working with an agency of the federal government, I acted as a liaison between business managers and technology specialists for a major new service initiative. Since 2001, as President of TransAtalntic Transfers Inc., I has helped hundreds of former UK residents to transfer their Pension Plans, tax free, to a special type of Registered Retirement Savings Plan in Canada that is also a UK Qualifying Recognized Overseas Pension Scheme (QROPS). Typically clients avoid exchange risks and enjoy more money in retirement compared with what they would have had by leaving the pension in the UK.Due to technical issues, QROPS were closed to new depositors in 2017. Recently, working with a UK Pension Consultant, I was instrumental in helping to get the QROPS market going again in Canada. I am currently Managing Director of PensionTransfer.ca Ltd. which seeks to find the most suitable QROPS for people who wish to bring their pension monies to Canada
