I was responsible for coordinating and training Enterprise Architects on standard architecture methodologies (TOGAF, UML, Archimate) and modeling tools, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture. I developed and facilitated standard services for the Enterprise Architecture team and performed special analysis efforts. I was chosen to conduct an enterprise cloud deployment conversion analysis using decision trees, automation scripting, industry conversion methods, and deep analysis methods in an effort to save an estimated $80 million per year in deployment and operation costs. The output of this effort reduced analysis efforts for cloud conversion by 50% for architects and technical leads across the enterprise, by automating data capture and decision analysis. My research showed a way to leverage Application attributes and industry tools (cloud conversion 6 R’s - Rehost, Replatform, Replace, Refactor, Retire, Retain) to expedite the effort. I worked to improve Architect productivity by 75% using an automated, workflow and database backed system to handle architecture reviews. I was responsible for developing and executing all training courses for the architects - including methodologies (TOGAF, Archimate, UML, Patterns Method, Quality Framework, Technical Reference Model, and Patterns Method) as well as architecture tools (Sparx EA Modeling tool, Google Search Engine) with a consistent 90% compliance/attendance over 4 years (50-60 Architects). I developed a variable based design system to automate architecture solutions based on selected answers and approved architecture patterns with an estimated 50% reduction in solution design efforts, and a 60% increase in architecture compliance. I streamlined the project compliance process using a standardized questionnaire and system data capture for 13 central teams, reducing the overall risk and governance process efforts by 40% for IT projects.

I was the technical lead, project and resource manager for several development teams on multiple in-house and vendor applications related to merchandise purchasing and allocations, and Identity Management. I was responsible for many tasks including gathering requirements, system design, development oversight, as well as project and resource management for 10 associates.In my efforts on the Identity Management team, I was able to greatly Improve security risk and compliance by implementing a Role Based Access Control system for all store associates (100,000+ employees). This was big deal, in that it was the first time store associates were required to use and manage their own ID and password for using registers and other in-store equipment. The trick was developing a simple and very efficient way for store associates to manage their own passwords (for many associates it was their first time) In my work on the merchandise and allocation systems I helped reduced the amount of time merchandise buyers spent on reviewing system generated allocations an average of 20% across the organization with an exception based, data analytics systemI took the Project manager and technical lead for this large project (8000+ hours, 10 Associates) to successfully build an exception based system, completed on time (8 months) and within budget. The project became a model and catalyst for implementing other systems using this technology (Oracle temporary analytics/pivot) and exception-based review of data based on a rules engine.
