I had been offered an internship opportunity at M.V Kini, at the Kolkata office. I had been associated with the General Corporate Team and undertook a plethora of tasks, ranging from legal research on various provisions of the SARFAESI ACT, 2002 and learnt a lot about Government Schemes such as the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme. Subsequently, I had drafted notices issued under S.13(2) of the Act as well as S.14 of the Act. I was also a part of the team which researched extensively on leasehold rights and if they shall be treated as a property in context of the Code.

An online internship, J&G Associates has imparted valuable experiences. As a part of my internship, I reviewed drafts for a bail cancellation application in multiple cases. At the same time, I have conducted research on laws (including byelaws, circulars, guidelines, code of conduct etc.) of foreign jurisdictions on the topic of “registered medical practitioners( doctors of different disciplines) endorsing advertisements” . At the same time, I have edited and drafted the terms of use for a fintech startup, namely - 1 Millisecond Technology Pvt Ltd and researched on the same.Further, I have worked on some aspects, pertaining to drafting documents upon Personal Laws, related to quashing petitions under the Special Marriage Act, 1954.

The internship at S. Majumdar & Co. presented an internship opportunity beyond compare!At SMCO, I joined the TradeMarks team and worked upon various points of the law. As an intern, I worked upon the following- 1. Prepared extensive case law notes on important Trademark cases, Orders and Procedures.2. Conducting research upon Special Jurisdiction of the Calcutta High Court and High Court Rules.3. Conducting Broad Searches across IP India Platform to formulate a list of marks which potentially infringe marks of a client.4. Conducted extensive research upon cross class protection of marks.5. Drafting Notice of Oppositions as under Section 9 of the TradeMarks Act, 1999.6. Finalised list of TradeMark registrations for the Litigation Team under the aegis of a distinguished Litigation Team at the firm.

Under the able guidance of Sir, I had been allotted a plethora of responsibilities which I undertook and completed successfully.Under Sir, I conducted research upon Salient Points of the New Delhi Municipal Council Act, 1994 upon Constructed Property Taxes and their various slabs. Further, I have undertaken legal research upon 1. Whether or not new evidence can be produced in a counter affidavit to supplement the reasoning behind the decisions of an authority, keeping the Mohinder Singh Gill judgement in mind2. Conducted Extensive Legal Research upon the IBC, non payment of debt, whether said debt amounts to a continous cause of action and therefore, a petition cannot be barred by limitation.

Under the guidance of sir, I had to conduct legal research on filing petitions and find relevant judgements that would help establish the case being pled by sir. I was also asked to observe the proceedings of the court which has greatly helped me understand, how pleadings work

As a part of Muskuraahat Foundation, I collected a generous amount of 16,000 by going from door to door, seeking donation for the project KeyTaab. Under the aegis of Mr. Gada, I have learnt how to make better my skills of persuasion and the exact skill set needed to make a point, such that people can identify with our cause and donate
