I'm highly energized when I am a contributing member of a high performing team of like-minded, equally energized and very talented people. I love to be on teams - 'winning' teams - teams that are committed, passionate, talented, accountable, successful, and humble while always seeking to be better. When I find myself on such a team it challenges me to grow and to achieve more than ever.I love to embrace the challenges of strengthening the 'whole' by strengthening the 'parts.' I look for leaders and managers who have unrealized potential and offer my support to them. I work to shape the culture in such a way that individuals and groups desire to give everything they have to the success of the team, because they feel they are receiving from the organization everything they need. I love being a full partner in the businesses where I work - a partner with business unit leaders in support of their unit goals, and a partner in the organization's determination of the short and long-term goals and accompanying strategies. Innovation and creativity in my work are important to me. I always take a 'white board' approach to difficult challenges and am allergic to the phrase, "We've always done it that way." And I really enjoy using creative approaches to build customized solutions to challenges, which are often more affordable, palatable and successful.I love coaching and mentoring. Very little gives me such deep satisfaction as seeing someone grow to where they achieve both personal and professional goals they otherwise thought unattainable. The approach I use is akin to therapy, wherein I serve as the facilitator of the individual's journey. I work to help people become more self-aware and to find their own answers and path. Mine is very much a servant leader style, whether I am managing a team, collaborating with others, or coaching.
