Partnership of Urban Improv and the Justice Resource Institute, a therapeutic model to engage youth traumatized by sexual abuse, violence, chemical and substance abuse. With staff of six psychiatrists, developed 18-week curriculum for students with severe emotional and disciplinary issues. Engaged in pilot program to reduce students’ impulsive behavior and increase their ability to constructively express feelings and ideas. Expanded program to serve mainstream Boston Public Schools.

Co-founded and co-led award-winning theatre program for at-risk youth, ages 8-15, which uses improvisation to teach violence prevention, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills. Developed training model, content, and corporate philosophy behind performance for all employees of interactive adventure entertainment technology company. Trained actors to perform in and profitably operate theaters in locations in Europe and North and South America. Worked directly with company executives and programmers to create “Extreme Fantasy Racing,” the most popular title in company’s catalog of virtual reality shows in 2005. Member of leadership team for New England’s oldest and most successful improvisational theater company, comprising three performance ensembles, more than 12 satellite troupes, a multi-level workshop program, and corporate/private performance capability. Responsible for day-to-day operation of theater space, management of technical and box office crews, payroll, developing new programming, and contracting with outside performers.
