Worked with a hand-picked team from various government agencies to perform analyses on the remaining viability of standard encryption standards verse quantum-based brute force attacks using a quantum annealing D-Wave system.

National Security Technologies (NSTec) was formed in 2005 as a joint venture between Northrop Grumman Corporation, AECOM, CH2M Hill, and Nuclear Fuel Services. This was not technically a job change. Bechtel Nevada lost the contract to keep managing particular USDOE assets, so my employer technically changed while my job functions stayed the same. Worked with a team of multi-disciplinary subject matter experts on highly constrained and quick-timeline products related to national security, especially in the nuclear non-proliferation domain. Duties included design and development of robust hardware and firmware for high-reliability embedded systems and field support throughout eastern Europe.

Co-Developer of iOS Cobra Tag and Headset TrackR Apps on the iTunes App Store. Developed strong partnership with Apple Inc.'s Bluetooth team to allow TrackR to push limits of legal framework usage to create the best user experiences. Co-developer of TrackR Bravo firmware - a that product did over $1M on Indiegogo. Co-authored and developed patent-pending technologies for company. Performed this work as an "angel engineer".

Bechtel Nevada was a joint partnership between Bechtel and Lockheed Martin to jointly manage the United States Department of Energy’s (USDOE) Nevada Test Site (now called Nevada National Security Site) and other labs within the USDOE complex. Started as a high speed optoelectronic diagnostic designer providing engineering support to the nation's top physicists. Eventually transferred to the Special Technologies Laboratory in Santa Barbara, CA, to work on advanced sensor and radio systems.
