Managed all areas related to Information Systems including business analysis and software design and development along with network, hardware, and software support. After successfully implementing SAP in 2008 the IS position was eliminated, but moved into other positions continuing to multi-task by unofficially handling IS issues while taking on the new responsibilities.Scheduled production for half of the plant’s operations. Responsible for one of the company’s top 20 assets charged with improving rates, yields, team development, and implementing LEAN principles.Tasked with extracting data from a mainframe system with unfamiliar data storage and programming language. Had to learn and adapt to that system which had no documentation. Using old, mostly uncommented code, learned the system and its language and developed a complex reporting system with built-in sorting and filtering.Designed Bill Of Lading system that allowed for data entry via wireless barcode scanners. Additionally the system allowed for sending completed documents to the offsite warehouse though formatted email. The system also had built in error detection that greatly reduced duplicate pallet entries. It provided for real time viewing of completed pallets and provided searchable and filtered historical viewing. It was estimated that this system returns $8,400 per year in time savings and error reductions.Implemented plant intranet using Internet Information Server. The Intranet continues to be the main source for providing plant-wide information. Working with a team and keeping an open mind devised a plan to fully utilize existing packaging system in lieu of installing a new system; improved system logic being the main driver. The plan is being implemented and will save over $750,000 in capital expenditures. Led a group of 10 to the successful implementation of SAP. Served as site coordinator, training coordinator, security coordinator, and master data coordinator.
