My primary responsibilities included directing the daily work activities of a team of employees that numbers as high as 15 members. I was responsible for the continuous operation of two high-speed production lines. I coordinated with quality control, ensuring all company standards were adhered to throughout production. I oversaw inventory control, logistics, production requirements, and shipping. Most importantly, I resolved all issues which might detrimentally affect line production and production quotas.Some notable achievements: I worked closely with production crews, encouraged open communication, and sought direct feedback from staff which resulted in our ability to increase the production of targeted product flavors by 5%. When forklifts were removed from each line due to company cut-backs, I conceptualized, developed, and implemented a new procedure for communicating line requirements with our existing forklift operators. I enticed the production workers to embrace this new procedure and the result was a harmonious team effort between operators and logistics which kept the lines properly stocked and avoided costly down-time. We had issues with significant line stoppages and down-time. I developed a methodology to track and record each instance, to analyze that data, then to produce a Pareto Chart which was used to allow supervisors and maintenance to perform proper preventative and predictive upkeep, drastically reducing lost time and production.

My daily duties required the testing of raw materials, the approval of raw materials for production, recipe verification, mixing and testing syrups prior to production, approval of syrups to be used in production, the testing of finished products prior to shipping, the approval of finished products for shipping, and daily documentation of all activities. My efforts were highly regarded by upper management and I was promoted to Production Supervisor in 2001. I conducted testing and calibrations of laboratory equipment, manufactured syrups, performed sensory testing by sampling the product, and strove to always ensure the highest levels of quality. I served as the liaison to the Kosher Rabbi. This continuous contact ensured the facility consistently met with all production requirements and standards.

I worked while attending Fairmont State worked various store positions, then upon graduation I went into management where I started as Kitchen Mgr and work up to GM and then to an Area Director for Central Ohio Area.As an Area DirectorCore Functions included: ensuring quality food safety procedures and HACCP, hiring team members and managers including basic HR functions, training managers and supervisors, overseeing money controls, driving sales goals and shopper scores, following up on customer complaint issues.*Successfully opened six stores from the ground up, overseeing construction supervisors as well as the hiring of managers and employees.*Maintained Shopper scores above targeted goals training waitstaff to exceed customers’ expectations.*Taught a series of HR classes on Hiring, Hostile Work Environment and Risk Management to staff and management.
