Robertson Stephens is a global wealth investment advisory firm for high net worth individuals, family offices, institutions and corporation. Ron is Chief Operating Officer of Robertson Stephens Asset Management and a member of the Executive Committee. He is responsible for the oversight of administration, operations and legal activities for the firm’s alternative assets platform.

CounselWorks LLC is a consulting company which advises hedge funds, investment advisers, broker/dealers and venture capital firms on, among other things, structuring and launching investment funds and management companies, business growth and marketing strategies, and risk management efficacy, and provides a wide range of legal, regulatory and compliance services such as offering memoranda review, securities law, investment adviser and trading issues advice, registration with the SEC as an investment adviser or broker/dealer, writing Codes of Ethics and Supervisory Procedures, Form ADV filings, personal trading reviews and mock regulatory audits. We also serve on boards of directors and testify as expert witnesses in complex investment and fund litigation matters.

Until resigning in 2006 to found CounselWorks Mr. Resnick was a Managing Partner and the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of Highbridge Capital Management. He was a member of Highbridge’s Board of Managers.Mr. Resnick was responsible since 1993 for the oversight of the day-to-day management of Highbridge and its operations, administration, human resources, media relations and legal and regulatory activities for about 205 people in New York, Grand Cayman, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Mr. Resnick was a member of Highbridge’s Executive Committee, Investment Committee, Management Committee, Operating Committee, Risk Oversight Committee and Infrastructure Committee.Principal Accomplishments at Highbridge:Helped Glenn Dubin and Henry Swieca, Highbridge’s founders, build, run and grow a $12 billion private, international alternative investment management organization, consisting of a $6 billion multi-strategy, equity arbitrage hedge fund; single-strategy hedge funds, hybrid funds and traditional mutual funds; and a separate $2 billion funds of hedge funds business.For 10 years he was the sole executive and “right hand man” of the two founders.Original Project Manager for the industry’s first open-end mutual fund trading a proprietary hedge fund market-neutral statistical arbitrage strategy.Structured Highbridge’s portable alpha funds.Organized and launched over twenty private hedge funds.Played key role in negotiating the $1.4 billion sale of Highbridge to JPMorgan Asset Management Holdings, Inc. in December 2004, without a loss of operating control by Highbridge’s principals.Co-founded Harmonic Fund Services, a full service, offshore hedge fund administration and consulting company with $25 billion in assets under administration, 25 employees and 40 clients.Formerly Partner of Corbin Capital Partners, L.P. and Member of Corbin Capital Partners Management, LLC, a $2 billion fund-of-hedge funds management firm.
