I am a visionary and inquirer. Curiosity and compassion exist at the heart of my pursuits. My name is Roohi Devje and I am in my fourth year of Honours Health Sciences at McMaster University. I am a researcher and writer with a proven record of delivery and innovation in program management and research projects in both the social work and health care fields. I have years of experience working with refugees, newcomers, women, and other marginalized populations to create, manage, and implement social and health programs. I have strong writing and public speaking skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific topics into digestible information for public audiences. I am passionate about health research and it's intersection with the criminal justice system. My other interests lie in metabolic and chronic disease, as well as maternal fetal medicine. I aspire to foster change in environments that are rooted in inequality and oppression.
