Operation Rainbow Canada is a 100% volunteer, non-profit medical organization based in Vancouver, Canada, that provides free reconstructive surgery for children in developing countries. Our specialties are cleft-lip, cleft-palate, and post burn contractures.
Dr. Kimit Rai, an internationally recognized plastic surgeon, established ORC in 1998 and to date has helped 2000+children in Mexico, Lebanon, the Philippines, Cambodia, China and India. In addition to the surgical services ORC performs, we also offer an educational program for Canadian plastic surgery residents, pediatric residents, and anesthesiology residents.
Through the hard work, dedication and expertise of ORC medical personnel and countless volunteers, the lives of so many children and families have been transformed in unimaginable ways. The touching words of thanks from so many families, and the look of hope in each parent’s eyes has touched the hearts of everyone involved in ORC – and is why we continue this important work.
