Space Hero is a global company that is collaborating with space organizations andan aerospace company to send a lucky civilian to the International Space Station in2023.As a data control intern, I used the Customer relationship management systemAirtable to organize the data on aspiring participants in order to assess theirdiversity and intersectionality in personalities, profession, gender, ethnicities,languages spoken, and location. I also led the data collection on the footprint ofspace organizations in East, West, Central and Southern Africa. This data collectionphase aimed to assess the digital media usage in this region and their ability toaccess the space travel competition. The strategy and operations team workedremotely and collaborated work and progress of projects through Trello

In this role I coach the art of strategic communication through scoring oralargumentation and giving oral feedback to high school learners from grade 8 tograde 1 . I adjudicate Gauteng provincials which is a tournament of 40 senior teamsand 40 junior teams . I also work with SACEE debating league which covers 50schools within the Gauteng province. My notable achievements include but are notlimited to coaching the University of Pretoria Lawhouse debating team which madeit to the final rounds of the STUKU debating championships. I have also served inthe role of equity officer in world schools debating style tournaments and Britishparliamentary style debating tournaments .
