I am a Final Year BSc (Hons) Geography student at the University of Glasgow. For the duration of the previous academic year I studied at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where I concentrated primarily in subjects relating to GIS, Spatial Data and Quantitative Environmental Sciences.This summer, I completed a 3-Month Internship at Wood Mackenzie in their Geospatial Data Team. This has been an enjoyable opportunity in which I have gained a wealth of experience in the realms of Geographic Information Science and Spatial Data.Throughout my education I have been fascinated by Geography, Cartography and how both natural and built environments can be mapped. I therefore aim to align my academic pursuits to poise myself for a successful career in the GIS, Geospatial or Geomatics sectors. Aside from my career interests, I am a keen traveller and have been to 29 countries (and counting!). Some of my favourite destinations so far have been Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and China’s Yunnan Province.
