I lead a team that administrates the online community platform for SEDS Canada, a national organization providing opportunities and resources for students in the space sector.The platform is utilized by the internal SEDS team for communication and planning, as well as SEDS members. I am spearheading initiatives to increase engagement and strengthen the Canada-wide community of students interested in space.

Designing and developing the website for the 2025 Canadian Space Conference

The Queen's Space Conference (QSC) is an annual, non-profit, student-run conference focused on connecting undergraduate students with Space industry leaders. My primary role on the team is developing the website, which involves:- designing, building, and maintaining a responsive website that holds all the event details- optimize the site to increase page views and event interest (SEO)- include interactive and relevant features on the website to increase user interest- collaborating and communicating with the rest of the executive team for information, graphics, and features/needs- managing/organizing accounts, credentials, and files from the past decade

I'm leading a team of 20 students across 4 software development teams. We are working on projects that target problem points that have been identified by members of our community.Applying project management and engineering design principals, each of our teams will be working on a year-long software project that will eventually be deployed and free to use by all.

In this position I worked on instrumentation, analysis, and software development for the DEAP-3600 dark matter detector located underground at SNOLAB. I worked on upgrading and commissioning the instrumentation components and equipment for DEAP which included working in a clean lab, environment, working in a glovebox, cleaning components for installation into our sensitive detector, leak checking lines, troubleshooting equipment such as pumps, and much more.I used CERN's ROOT data analytics framework to use data from our detector to model relationships and estimate important values.I also worked on automation software for an auto-archival system for completed procedures completed in our lab. This leveraged Power Automate alongside a python script using the office365 API to automatically store and identify files for easy lookup.
