Part of successful team effort to reduce work in progress queue for the enterprise network as measured by the 7-Eleven instance of BMC Remedy by 50%. Designed and implemented a successful migration from Infoblox DHCP to Microsoft Server 2012 R2 DHCP. Lead engineer in a successful migration to a WCCP load balanced Blue Coat Proxy SG deployment. Other projects include deploying SolarWinds NPM for ping, snmp, and syslog monitoring on all corporate devices. Automated portions of PCI compliance auditing utilizing the Solarwinds NCM system. Completed a migration into the Solarwinds IPAM system including integration with the Microsoft Server 2012 DHCP deployment. Upgraded, positioned and managed the 7-Eleven Niksun deployment including configuring the 7-Eleven Gigamon deployment. Experience includes configuring physically and logically Cisco IOS 6500 and 3850 series switches, Cisco Nexus 5000 series switches, Juniper SRX and Netscreen firewalls, Juniper SRX and J series routers, Juniper EX series switches, Juniper/Pulse Secure SA/MAG series VPN appliances, InfoBlox DHCP/DNS servers, Steel Belted Radius servers, and BlueCoat Proxy SG proxies, Meru wireless including AP's and controller. Provided Level 3 support for user Network related issues for over 8000 stores in the United States and Canadas and 20 corporate offices which included configuring and deploying network equipment for new corporate offices. Created documentation and provided training for the level 1 and level 2 support technicians. Other activities focused on supporting the 7-Eleven store network through testing, inventorying, and dispatching Cellular disaster recovery networking kits.

This was a 2 year rotational program with three eight month rotations.Third rotation and Final Placement, Process Analyst Global Tools and AutomationIn this role I coordinated with key stakeholders including the Bank of America and General Motors accounts technical and business requirements for the Oracle based NOtA tool set. Key projects included new MyWorklist user interface giving users customized worklists based on user roles and the deployment of the NOtA NEI network engineering suite for the Bank of America and GM accounts. Coordinated the business requirements among the end users and developers both based in Plano, TX and offshore to ensure maximum return on investment based on level of effort.Second rotation was with HP CNOC for Bank of America. In this role I supported the network for business critical devices including ATM's, Banking Centers, Data Centers and other facilities. Responsibilities included device monitoring and ticket generation using the Maximo tool system and Cisco router and switching troubleshooting.First rotation was with NDM AMERS Leveraged Data group. During this rotation I assisted my networking engineer mentor in designing and implementing her network engineering processes for global HP clients. As part of this group I help implement and design a new employee auditing system to help track employee productivity.Outside of my rotations, I implemented a webstorm idea campaign system using the Bright Idea HP Garage software suite. I helped in implementing the SharePoint solution to the 2 week on-boarding campaign from the webstorm which resulted in a decrease of new employee on-boarding time from over 2 monthes to under 2 weeks for the Network Deveolopment Program. I also proposed and implemented with a team a social networking solution on Facebook and Twitter to help in increasing our recruitment pool.

My responsibilities grew significantly since I first started in this position. At first I was conducting basic tasks such as data entry and conducting simple experiments. Eventually, I created my own project which was awarded $1500 in PURA funding for fall 2009. This project examined self paced study in younger and older adults using Chinese characters as the stimulus. This unique approach was utilized in 2 sequences of experiments which were subsequently published in peer reviewed journals.

I was responsible for direct contact to clients in particular Coca Cola Enterprises. Time constraints were a constant issue and teamwork was an absolute must to meet these constraints.

In this position I was responsible for teaching Java to students with little to no background in programing languages. I was able to expand my expertise of programming as well as learn valuable communication skills.
