PhD Student in the Briscoe lab at the Francis Crick Institute. I am interested in combining single-cell transcriptomics, mathematical modelling and machine learning to model and understand embryonic development of the central nervous system. Prior to this studentship, I was a Frank Knox Fellow at Harvard University, where I studied Computational Science and Engineering. Before this, I studied Cell and Systems Biology at Oxford University, where I graduated top of my year. Alongside my education I have researched mitochondrial signalling in Oxford's DPAG, cytoskeletal transport proteins at the LMB in Cambridge, cell-cycle regulation in cancer at UCL's LMCB and mutation-effect prediction with variational auto-encoders at Harvard's Systems Biology Department.
