Review of discharged Inpatient and OR patient charts for completeness and accuracy,assign deficiencies and follow up to completion. Work closely with physicians to complete their EMR documentation. Provide support for medical coders by ensuring any missing or incomplete documentation is then completed by the physician. Ensure physician documentation requirements are met in accordance of Joint Commission Standards and Med Staff Rules & Regs. Recently tasked with analyzing for our sister facility in Georgia. Work mostly remote, only coming onsite for meetings. Successfully analyze and assign deficiencies for physicians at multiple sites ensuring timely chart completion creating a faster turn around time for coding/billing.
