My role at CareDocs was in a small Agile development team, with a workflow using Bitbucket, Jira and Jenkins for release management and Confluence for documentation. I also contributed to next generation product planning and created feature demonstrations with Xamarin.Forms. During this time I also had exposure to ASP.NET webapp products, Azure services, and engaged with subject matter experts and the UX team to best understand how to meet user requirements.I also had the opportunity to upskill using Pluralsight to familiarise myself with design patterns, test driven development, improving SQL Server performance and building cross-platform apps with Xamarin.Forms. This supplemented my own self-study which included creating and using REST web services in UWP applications and improving my understanding of SOLID principles. Show less

I also supervised a development engineer providing similar services in test engineering and metrology applications. I continued to support internal product and process development and collaborative projects, driving innovation through partnership with universities and other businesses.I project managed the development of a chemical surface-modification process for additively manufactured parts. This process removed semi-sintered material evenly from non-line of sight features without using HF.I expanded my programming knowledge to include working with VB.NET, VBA, LabVIEW and creating WPF and UWP applications with C#. In this field, I developed machine health visualisations from metrology data, a UI for a powder removal rig and a SyteLine interface tool. I also further improved my method for automated part generation in Siemens NX.I have driven development of probing strategies for aligning and machining high-value, high-precision additively manufactured parts. This included design for hybrid manufacturing, metrology for additive manufacturing and has involved managing resources and collaboration across multiple sites. I also provided user experience feedback during the development of NC-Inspect.At the conclusion of the NATEP project with Insphere, I assumed responsibility for developing artefact-based metrology as an indicator of additive manufacturing machine health. I presented on this topic at 3DMC in Hamburg. Show less

I also created programs for training documents and participated in marketing videos for INTUO, which I have linked here. I worked closely with the software team to identify, prioritise and resolve bugs and enhancements in software under development. My second placement built on my previous experience with dmis to develop customer applications. This included high-level programming and a greater variety of parts. I participated throughout the sales process, from requirements capture to installation, and gained a better understanding of how Renishaw products are utilised in different customer environments. My final placement focused on machine tool applications. I completed training in multiple Renishaw machine tool metrology applications and developed an in-depth knowledge of NC-PerfectPart. This included installation, macro configuration, testing, probing routine generation, interpretation of benchmark results, customer demonstration and training. I also balanced my time between Equator programming, customer visits and application testing and demonstrations. Show less
