I am a Human Development major at The University of Texas at Austin with a strong background in teaching and working with children. I have always had a strong passion for working with children because I believe children are at a stage in life where they are most easily influenced, whether for the better or worse. Therefore, I aim to be a role model for youth in the hopes of guiding them in a path that will encourage positive personal growth. As a Human Development Major, I have taken numerous classes on parent-child relationships, child development, and families, and I have also had many opportunities to implement what I’ve learned, whether through teaching Sunday school or volunteering with at-risk youth in East Austin. Currently, I am interning at Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired as a residential instructor.
