I’ve been in this business for longer than I care to say, but one thing that never gets old is my passion for the creative process. Everything about it fascinates me--brainstorming that big idea, coming up with the strategy, and ultimately seeing the creative launch into market. Every step uncovers something different.My career path started when being a direct marketer was the bottom of the barrel in this industry. The work wasn’t glamorous, but everything we did was measured by the results. Now everything we create needs to drive an action and generate ROI. So those years as a hard-core direct marketer have paid off for me.It’s allowed me to work on campaigns for many large financial and insurance brands such as Fifth Third, Fidelity, Discover, Allstate, and PayPal to name a few. I’ve worked on every area of the customer journey including acquisition, retention, winback, lead generation and customer management in both B2B and B2C and across channels.But the work is not the only thing that drives me. I’ve had the opportunity to build and lead some of the best creative teams in the business. It has allowed me to nurture young talent and watch them grow into executives and entrepreneurs. I’m also one of those unique creative people that can think from both sides of the brain. Digging into the research and analytics to see how we can improve the creative we put into market. Making sure we connect the right message, at the right time to the right person.So as I find myself looking for a new opportunity, I can sum up my experience like the ingredients in a recipe, a nod to another passion of mine, cooking.
