I provided maternity cover to the Managing Director of Soul of Africa Shoes, a social enterprise working to create opportunities for employment on the African continent through the shoe industry. Responsibilities Included:- Managing decisions relating to Ecommerce and Marketing strategy (Inc. website, social media, blog, newsletters & reporting) and working closely with agencies to deliver PPC and Paid Social Media Ads strategy. - Regular communications with the African charities supported by the Trust and communicating their achievements across Soul of Africa's channels.- Creating monthly board packs attended by the charity's trustees, spanning performance of all activities & highlighting achievements of supported charities.- Co-ordinating profile-raising events, notably including an event in the House of Lords focusing on the the potential for Africa’s leather and textile industry to become a major ethical supply source and the potential impact of Brexit if a continuation of 0% trade tariffs was not established- Managing communications to Kickstarter investors that pledged +£92k to a campaign launched in collaboration with VIVOBAREFOOT and the San Bushmen Tribe to help preserve the art traditional San craftwork and give backers the opportunity to own their very own pair of handmade sandals.- Communicating the launch of a new shoe production line in Ethiopia that aimed to provide employment by teaching local men and women to make shoes.

The Blue Door Practice is a psychological services practice in central London, dynamically drawing together the expertise of independent practitioners from across the psycho-therapeutic board. My role included organising patient referrals and appointments as well as managing all administrative duties, including accounts. I assisted the director in researching relevant disorders and regularly attended practitioners' group supervisions.

I worked on multiple sailing yachts around the world in a hospitality role. This included crossing the Atlantic on a 90ft Swan, volunteering on a square-rigged tall ship run by The Jubilee Sailing Trust and sailing around South America and the notorious Cape Horn on one of the biggest sailing yachts in the world. I spent up to 4 weeks at a time without seeing land, often in very turbulent conditions - so being a resilient team-player who can stay calm under pressure was paramount!
