As a Program Coordinator at the National Hispanic Medical Association, I help coordinate the Advancing Physician Leaders Fellowship, the Hispanic Leadership Development Fellowship, and a policy advocacy effort with Tobacco Free Kids.

As a Senior Program Assistant, I assisted with promotion, operations, outreach, communications, and logistics for international and domestic workshops, symposia, and fellowships for early/mid-career researchers. These included the Mirzayan Fellowship, the U.S.-Africa Frontiers Symposium, the Arab-American Frontiers Symposium, and the AccelNet: PEER2PEER International Convergence Research Networks in Transboundary Water Security project. I also coordinated 20+ international travel grants that connected researchers from different disciplines and regions of the world.When I first started at NASEM, I saw an opportunity for increasing community and communication among early-career staff members. I promoted, organized, and ran an organization-wide business clothing swap to support the needs of other staff members in their first office jobs. Following this event, I was selected as a founding member of the executive committee of NASEM's employee resource group CORE (Community, Opportunity, and Resources for Early-Career Professionals) as their events coordinator. In this position, I worked with a team of early-career professionals to plan and carry out events that bring together, support, and provide resources for other early-career staff members.

As a social media intern at the Oregon-based aging rights advocacy organization AGE+, I drafted graphics and captions for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. I researched social media strategies to increase engagement and broaden the organization’s audience.

Tutored students in Spanish language, organized and advertised department events, wrote weekly department emails, coordinated sales of department merchandise, managed the department Instagram.

Took photos, digitized 60+ years-worth of data, ran live streams, wrote articles.

Managed the Vassar fencing team's Instagram account.

As a partnerships and outreach intern at the ranked choice voting advocacy organization FairVote, I organized and led a project translating key outreach resources to Spanish, wrote analytical blog posts and feature stories, and researched the 2021 New York City elections to help the press team publicize the successful implementation of ranked choice voting.

Participated in Rep. Blumenauer’s intern workshop. Learned about the legislative process, lobbying, media relations, campaigning, and policy-writing. Presented to the Representative on the environmental and economic benefits of improving the U.S.’s freight rail system.

Responded to constituent emails and phone calls, researched policy, crafted social media posts, communicated with lobbyists and interest groups.
