As Head of Sustainability, I:I lead the Sustainability Team, overseeing all sustainability and social impact initiatives for 800+ employees and leading the company in our mission to eliminate food waste. Developed and now co-lead Misfit’s OKRs and strategy to save food from waste. In 2023, we saved 30M+ lbs of food from waste and doubled sales of rescued packaged foods (v. 2022) while exceeding margin and revenue targets for these foods.Serve as internal sustainability SME / consultant, partnering across all departments nationwide to build and scale sustainability and social impact initiatives. Oversee all ESG reporting for stakeholders and investors.Spearheaded the creation of Misfit’s first Impact Report and led the company’s first comprehensive carbon footprint measurement.Led company to achieve our first TRUE Zero Waste certification (Gold) for our Oregon fulfillment center, one of only 40 industrial facilities worldwide to achieve this certification.Manage in-kind and monetary donations partnerships with Feeding America and 63 food banks and pantries across the U.S.

Developed Imperfect’s first corporate sustainability strategy, and climate commitment to achieve Net Zero operational emissions by 2030. Managed all cascading initiatives in renewable energy, packaging reuse and reduction, waste reduction, and foods sourcing.Measured, reported and reduced greenhouse gas emissions in alignment with the GHG Protocol and EPA. From 2020 - 2021, we reduced Imperfect’s greenhouse gas emissions / $ revenue by over 30% while increasing Scope 4 (avoided) emissions through sourcing and logistics.Developed and led the rollout of Imperfect’s Packaging Return Program, the only nationwide grocery packaging reuse and recycling program, and the company’s first EPR initiative. Launched nationwide for all customers nationwide in five months, our team collected 7M+ lbs of packaging materials for reuse and recycling in <2 years.Led the first cross-departmental TRUE Zero Waste initiative in our five 100,000 sq ft facilities, increasing average diversion rates from 55% to over 85% in <2 years while cutting overall waste and saving $150,000+ annually through reduced trash hauling costs and other operational efficiencies.
