I handled hundreds of dollars per day in cash, and balanced books each afternoon with the hostel owner. I learned quickly and on-the-job, and my duties often included quickly setting up for shows. I worked with a variety of people, including four different supervisors-- something that taught me to be proactive in finding work, and also to balance different responsibilities.Worked as a stagehand, security, disability assistance, and transportation. I am trained to drive a 15-passenger van, operate a spotlight, weigh fly lines, adjust theater lights, and set up and take down sound equipment. I arrived on time or early for all shifts. Hancher fires employees after two late arrivals. I have worked on shows for the National Acrobats of China, Hubbard Street Dance Company, AnDa Union, the National Chamber Choir of Ireland, Boston Pops, the American String Quartet, and the Maia String Quartet.

For this project, I used databases and Excel to track incoming and outgoing surveys. I researched correct addresses for survey recipients. I gained a keen attention to detail, as even one mistake could mean days of searching through the database for the faulty data point.I often worked independently; the first summer I worked there, I stayed hours after my direct supervisor left for the day. I also supervised another employee and I helped coordinate a team effort while my supervisor was away for a week.I transcribed several phone interviews for this job. Finally, my job at CHEAR included performing basic office tasks, such as working with a photocopier and filing.
