Essential job functions include: enforcing ordinances and laws pertaining toanimals and issuing citations when necessary; responding to calls involving injured, sick, dangerous andstray animals, barking dogs, leash, sanitation and other violations; investigating reports of animal abuseand cruelty, and taking appropriate action; humanely and safely rescuing and caring for stray, dangerous, nuisance, sick/injured and other animals; using controlled substances to tranquilize or medicate animals; quarantining animals involved in biting incidents; and examining animals' physical condition and notifying proper individuals if medical attention is required. Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: completing standard reports and forms (e.g., animal bite report, daily reports, citations, etc.); and appearing in Court to provide testimony on citations and complaints.

Aids in compassionate care and advocates for the well-being of all animals (including exotic, large and small). Helps the Veterinarian with routine patient appointments and provides quality customer service for both patient and owners. Ability to collect and prepare laboratory samples, administer medications and understanding of pharmacology basics. Assists daily in the surgery room to provide pre- and post-operative care.

Head Animal Control Officer from 04/2016 to 06/2018. Shelter Manager from 08/2016 to 11/2017. Maintain public safety by enforcing animal related laws and humane care regulations. Responsible for capturing and impounding dangerous or stray animals, investigating cases of animal cruelty, enforcing civil codes and state laws, providing testimony in court cases, rescuing trapped animals, writing incident reports, and providing humane care to animals under my supervision. In charge of managing the daily activities at the animal shelter to ensure that all operations run smoothly. Duties included supervising/managing staff members and volunteers, maintaining the facility and equipment, interacting with the public and ensuring that shelter animals receive proper care. I also assisted in adoptions, marketing of animals, fundraising efforts and fostering good community relations.

Variety of tasks included overviewing three sales representatives, cold-calling, front desk reception with regular customer service, management of website and media, assisting the operations crew with booking shipments, tracing and tracking, fulfillment and claims all within the DLS Worldwide (RR Donnelley) system.
