Rosehill will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2014. Owned by the Asjes family for years, the original store was located at 9300 Holmes. Rosehill moved out to Martin City in 1993. The location was formerly an antique car dealership. In fact, our retail store location at 311 E. 135th St. and the courtyard between it and the offices was where the vintage automobiles were located.I have worked at Rosehill for over 18 years. Several years back I bought the company along with a partner. We are a small company employing 170 people including designers, office personnel, retail sales persons, tree & plant experts as well as experienced workers at our Belton plant farm.We take pleasure and a lot of pride in facing a gardening/landscape challenge and turning it into an oasis for our customers to enjoy.We have over 1000 acres of plants which is home to the best and most diverse locally grown plant materials offered in the Midwest. We have in excess of 100,000 trees to choose from and over 60 greenhouses where we grow thousands of annuals and perennials.We often work on small projects and sometimes huge contracts. We can design anything from a small back yard or Kauffman and Arrowhead stadiums. We have recently won the contract to landscape the newly opening Honeywell FM&T 280-acre campus at Botts Road & Missouri Hwy. 150.Our specialties include: Custom design, landscape architecture, land planning, and locally grown plant materials.
