As Head of Application Development and Infrastructure, I am responsible for all Technology Operations, ensuring Credit Benchmark’s IT Development, Infrastructure and Security are robust and able to meet and exceed current and future business requirements. I have over fifteen years’ experience working in IT across the Banking/Financial and London insurance sector having previously held roles at Lansdowne Partners and Munich Re before joining Credit Benchmark.

From joining Credit Benchmark, a financial data start-up company in the Credit Risk space, as an Enterprise Systems Engineer, now Enterprise Systems Manager, I have been responsible for a ground up design, build, implementation and management of the Credit Benchmark enterprise infrastructure whilst ensuring we adhere to IS27001 and other security standards. This includes;PROD (virtual) and DR (physical) infrastructureMobile device management including BYODDisaster Recovery and Business Continuity/Workplace Recovery design and testing Group, audit and Information security PoliciesHelp-desk, workflow and change managementBackup Restore proceduresAnnual Penetration TestingStandardised HardwareOS and software deploymentNetwork Monitoring and inventoryData centre movesFirewall and switch configuration (VLANs, IPsec, VPN tunnels)Also, in collaboration with a 3rd party managed service provider, I have been heavily involved in the contract renegotiation redesign of our Secure Production Environment to a more robust, secure and scalable set-up.This ISO27001 certified production environment has been developed as a secure data transfer solution between clients and data centre via an SFTP. The solution supports private/public key encryption, data encryption, and direct file transfers between client and data centre. It has also been design to allow for data anonymization and manipulation using SQL and a number of 3rd party applications.

Based in the city of London I am currently working as a Technical Analyst within the Infrastructure Team for Munich Re, one of the world’s leading re-insurers.Across our Primary and 3rd party hosted DR site my role is to ensure the London infrastructure is robust and is able to meet the current and future needs of the business following ITIL standards.Over the past 3 years during my time at Munich Re I have helped maintain, upgrade and implement a large subset of hardware and various technologies.
