Programme Manager for UK-Ireland Health Startups engaging with the EIT Health Accelerator, a collection of 20+ Accelerator Supports. I work with MedTech, HealthTech, DigiHealth and BioTech Start-ups, SMEs and budding entrepreneurs across the UK and Ireland, understanding their needs and supporting their development through our programmes. Manages the EIT Health Headstart Funding Programme in the UK and Ireland, as well as the Regional stages of the EIT Health Catapult programme.Works with EIT Health partners hosting EIT Health Accelerator activities in the UK-Ireland region.Participated in the inaugural Executive Startup Community Leadership conference hosted by EIT Hub Israel, as well as the ESCL Playground follow up conference. ESCL (now "Connect and Experience") is an ongoing professional development community for knowledge sharing across European Innovation Hubs, engaging several Knowledge Innovation Communities (Health, Climate, Urban Mobility) under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, as well as partner organisations. Delivered writing courses entitled “A Journey Through Writing” and “The Youth Academy Chronicle: Introduction to Journalism” to gifted 9-12 year old children. Designed course syllabi and lesson plans, compiled materials and delivered weekly classes while overseeing a trainee Teaching Assistant.

Designed syllabus, selected primary and secondary materials, delivered weekly seminars, set assignments and delivered individual assessment.Sep 2012 – April 2015 Tutor, Department of English, NUI GalwayTaught weekly tutorials with up to twenty first-year English BA students. The focus of the tutorial course is on developing academic and research skills, essay writing, and encouraging independent thought. Designed weekly classes, graded assignments, and provided individual feedback.

Oversaw production of bi-weekly publication. Sections include local news, national news, features, arts & entertainment, fashion and sport. The newspaper is student and campus focused, and is produced in association with the NUI Galway Students' Union.Coordinate team of deputy editors and writers, who work part-time on a voluntary basis.Responsible ultimately for all proofreading, editing and content. Journalistic duties. Occasional photography.Hold weekly editorial meetings.Provide one-to-one feedback sessions for writers.Source advertising.

Selected content for www.kennys.ie on a weekly basis as well as ‘Booktalk,’ the non-retail aspect of the site. Drove sales, and promoted special subject and seasonal book categories. Highlighted books of particular media interest on a weekly basis.Coordinated internship programme, which saw the recruitment of 5 to 10 students per year mainly from France, Spain, Germany and the US. Managed student development and task allocation. Arranged cover for special events in conjunction with person in charge of rota.Editor of MyBook.ie: Created Genealogy Research Directory and created training manuals for custom designed BookBuilder software. Organised events, for example the “Big Family Book Quiz” in association with the Baboro International Arts Festival for Children. Promoted the event on the Tom Dunne Show on Newstalk radio.Assisted with daily logistical and retail activities.

Managed large archive of medical and administrative records relating to the services activities. Registered new case files to the system, and tracked records checked out of the archive.Established and instigated effective computer based records management policies, which are still in effect. Evidence of personal initiative in establishing a computer based management system for a large archive in one of the centres.Coordinated Freedom of Information releases for Cork and Kerry. Facilitated inquiries from the Tribunal of Inquiry into Institutional Child Abuse.

Taught English to a variety of foreign learners including groups of teenagers, adult classes and one to one sessions.Created challenging and interesting lesson plans daily.Assessed student's abilities at the end of each week, through standard testing and meetings with individual students.Lead tour groups of up to 90 students and 6 leaders to such sites as Muckross House, Curaheen Track, Cobh and Blarney castle.
