About Ross Armstrong

Graduate of Lander Universities Computer Information Sciences program, I have worked with numerous programming languages and have not limited myself to course guidelines throughout my college career, namely: C++, JAVA, PHP, JavaScript, MYSQL, HTML/CSS, AJAX, Python and C#.     I worked to develop a stand alone software that takes complex genetics sequences as input and breaks them down to Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms. This information is then utilised to calculate 'frequency of risk' that would show what endangers a patients well-being or would highlight an a specific disorder that a patient may have. Furthermore, the output from this programme may even provided precious information to help solve medical dilemmas.This project dealt with big data, time sensitive and error free analysis, Agile methodology and excess amounts of secure patient data.
