My fixed term full-time role at the CFA was to support the CFA in the implementation of financial sustainability projects through Financial Modelling and Project management. 𝐌𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞:• Played a key role in implementing Zero Based Budgeting (ZBB) which incorporated Activity Based Costing, into the CFA, to ensure improved financial information through aligning costs with Key Deliverables and Activities which were then aligned with strategic goals, board priorities and the operating model that details CFA's purpose in the community. ZBB is the overarching business planning which is aligned with local business unit business plans. ZBB will contribute greatly when justifying why the CFA requires additional government funding when submitting ERC (Expenditure Review Committee) bids and any other funding and grant applications. • Managed and created a new general ledger cost categorisation methodology to align with Activity Based Costing (ABC) and Zero Based Budgeting (ZBB), to ensure more effective reporting of costs to the Board and Government bodies. • Designed and built adaptive financial models from extremely large datasets for the CFA Financial Sustainability program. • Established and maintained strong working relationships with all stakeholders.

In my Senior Management role at VICSES, I reported to the Director of Corporate Services, and was responsible for grants management, business planning, ERC (Expenditure Review Committee) business case, and project financial forecasting and reporting.𝐌𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞:• Effective management of all VICSES grants including VESEP (Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program) and UAF (Unit Assistance Fund). UAF was an internal grant for VICSES Units, where donations received were dispersed to Units through a grant process. • Initiated a new improved Business Planning process in excel, including strong links to the strategic plan, prioritisation of projects by the Executive Management Team (EMT), alignment with strategic and operational risks, project KPI’s, project timelines, and ensuring stakeholder engagement. There were 5 CFO’s of Not for Profit Organisations in this group, who were appointed By VCOSS (The Victorian Council of Social Service) to negotiate CPI on funding by the Department of Human Services (DHS). The CPI negotiated was 3.14% for all funding across the Human Services and Health sectors for the period 2009-2012.• Produced Business Cases and costings to obtain funding and to ensure that the revenue easily accounted for associated expenditure.• Managed the production of quality Annual Reports annually.• Successfully managed the annual financial audits.
