I am a passionate local government professional with extensive experience leading and developing dedicated, high-functioning specialist teams through my naturally authentic leadership and collaborative communication style. I possess strong strategic thinking skills and pride myself on my problem-solving and decision-making skills in areas of high political and community interest.My key areas of expertise are Road Safety, Transport Planning and Infrastructure Policy / Strategy development and delivery. I bring a strong research background and technical skills to my roles. I have developed innovative road safety solutions in a local government setting. With career highlights including delivering several presentations at national and international conferences on these solutionstopped by being a guest speaker at the 2011 TrafiNZ National Conference in Hamilton, New Zealand. I have also co-authored a journal article "Local Government and the Safe System Approach to Road Safety" on the results of these programs. My current role has seen me deliver a range of Strategies to guide the delivery of infrastructure in local government setting; including a major organisational change project on Capital Works Program planning and delivery. From a transport perspective; a major highlight was identifying the need, and securing external funding, for the trial of the PenBus Transport Initiative that provides an express bus service for Students from the Mornington Peninsula to Monash University to combat transport disadvantage.
