I am an Aircraft Engineering Technician with 5+ years of practical, dynamic experience working with a variety of mechanical and avionic systems all over the globe. Currently I am working on fixed wing aircraft at Samco Aircraft Maintenance located at Maastricht/Aachen Airport.A highly confident and innovative technician, I am always motivated to enhance my knowlegde and develop new skills that allow me to positively impact the output of my team as much as possible, in order to achieve optimal engineering results. I routinely carried out vigorous flight servicing inspections and maintenance requirements IAW technical publications on the Leonardo Wildcat HMA MK2 aircraft. This includes larger tasks such as engine and gearbox changes as well as main rotor head balancing. Following each task by completing all relevant paperwork requirements to a high standard.I am experienced in the fault diagnosis and defect rectification of all trade components on the aircraft - utilising electrical test equipment such as flukes, system specific test sets, and BIT programmes. Also utilising mechanical test kits such as play–check tools, rigging kits, dial torque indicators, and visual inspection aids such as borescopes. I have a strong awareness of air worthiness standards within the aviation environment - having conducted acceptance/quality checks on various weapon systems, aircraft components and essential flight safety equipment daily. Maintaining the robust safety standards set by the MAA is paramount to me, having operated onboard the flight deck of a number of Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary ships, I appreciate the consequences of complacency and will always strive to ensure these standards are upheld by myself and my team.
