In this role, it was my first experience working in a recent start-up fintech company which came with a whole new chapter of challenges due to the less structured way of working and wider responsibilities in my role within the compliance team. Naturally, working in such a fast-growing company, I was exposed to a much more ‘agile’ approach to working which allowed me to show my problem-solving as well as leadership skills within the team.

In this role, I provided full generalist HR Administration and Advisory support across the whole business of 1500 employees. As an IT company, the business was extremely fast-paced, and as such, I worked to very tight deadlines, with frequently changing priorities. I was also involved in leading and supporting on a number of HR projects and worked closely with Agencies to recruit and onboard new employees.

In this role a key responsibility is to extract, analyse and deliver operational and people data to a wide range of different stakeholders, helping the department to ensure KPIs are met, key controls and audit requirements are being adhered to, and business insights are provided to help support wider business people plans.Working within a department with a strong continuous improvement ethos, I am also regularly involved in supporting projects and initiatives to identify and implement efficiencies and enhanced customer service provision. I also continue to provide advice, guidance and support to Line Managers and Employees on Absence Management and Disability and Reasonable Adjustments.

In this role I provided a professional administrative service to the Policy & Advice team of c120 individuals (who provide specialist guidance to c70,000 employees), and supported Line Managers and Employees across the wider bank. There was also a requirement to work closely with external stakeholders such as Occupational Health providers. This role involved multiple responsibilities, was very fast paced, and required excellent planning and organisational skills and attention to detail.
