My daily work involves helping corporate clients, particularly in the financial services industry, to measure, manage and mitigate their pension and benefits risks in the context of their business challenges, with a view to achieving improvements in bottom line performance. Alongside this, I have developed longstanding trusted relationships with a number of UK Trustee boards as I help and support them over time in delivering on the benefit promises made to their members.I have been with WTW for over 20 years in the UK and Ireland - using that experience, I try to advise in a measured, results-focused way, and deliver on the commitments I make, tailoring solutions to help my clients meet their objectives. Where a client's need is outside my core strengths, I connect them with my many highly capable colleagues, having developed strong internal networks across various technical specialisms and geographies. I value integrity and authenticity, and aim to display these traits in my dealings with colleagues and clients.A primary responsibility is leading our specialist pensions team for large banks in Europe (outside GB). This involves connecting with and empowering colleagues in various countries to add value for their clients by bringing cutting-edge solutions built around our deep knowledge of the impact of pensions on capital. For some banks I work as a Lead Relationship Manager (LRM), responsible for ensuring they see the best of WTW across our many business lines.While I specialise in corporate advice, I maintain several UK Scheme Actuary appointments. I am confident this broad experience and capability on 'both sides of the fence' is of benefit to all my clients. I lead our island-of-Ireland team advising UK (mainly Northern Ireland) based trustee and corporate clients, and make regular trips to Belfast to connect with clients and colleagues based there.I am a member of our Ireland Retirement leadership team and of our local steering group developing services for corporate clients. I am a 2015 alumnus of WTW's global Client Acumen programme, which is aimed at developing client management skills for high-performing associates with leadership potential.Outside of work, family, friends, colleagues and clients alike are only too aware that my main passion is football, and Aston Villa FC in particular. I continue to make several trips home every season to catch games, and have even indoctrinated my son. He also plays football and my daughter plays camogie, so supporting these activities is my main pastime at present!
