I am an enthusiastic Architecture graduate having recently completed my Masters of Architecture obtaining a First Class Honours at the University of Dundee, and now seeking employment as a Part II Architectural Assistant. The process of architectural practice is my primary interest, as much if not more than the product itself. I find this an invaluable perspective, which I intend to develop and build upon throughout my Part II position. Through drafting, iterating, and modelling I seek to understand architecture through rigorous methods and interrogation. I am a clear and precise thinker which when paired with my working processes allows me to adapt to a wide array of projects. The strength of this methodical approach to tasks supports my ethos that does not focus on a fixed notion of ideas or methods but follows robust principles guided towards quality and rigour. I consistently use projects to learn and develop as an architect. My portfolio therefore represents a series of personal experiments, each time trying to approach the project in a new way, evolving my practice with new ideas and methods. Fuelled by ambition and curiosity my work is never stationary, it always forms part of a progression. This approach allowed me to take on a variety of responsibilities within my part 1 position at Reiach and Hall Architects, developing strong multi-tasking and time management skills that have equipped me for the next challenges and opportunities in practice.
