Roles and responsibilitiesTo provide a tennis programme which caters for all adult and children members and guests, incorporating group Coaching, free play, social tennis, and private lessons. Whilst also promoting the tennis programme and actively aiming to increase participation within the coaching programme through communicating with the local community. Also to Ensure Health and safety is to the highest standard both on and off the courts.

To support and strive for the development of productive, results-driven carbon reduction strategies, for organizations in the Thames Valley Business Community, while advancing and planning the education of the public, and businesses in order for them to change their behaviour, and reach long term sustainability.

The School CO2lutions project will be run with Climate Change Centre Reading, a local organisation driving Readings bid for the European Green Capital Awards in 2017 to develop our Berkshire-wide educational program.School CO2lutions is limited to 6 schools, 3 in Bracknell and 3 in Reading; participating schools will have the chance to compete and collaborate with each other in both intra and inter borough competitions! The program is set to begin at the start of the next academic year, with six events running through until March 2015.What’s Involved?From your school all that we require is commitment from staff and students alike and we’ll take care of the rest- School CO2lutions is free of charge for you to take part and allows us to educate the local community around building a more sustainable future.The six events we will run are:September/October- Introductory assemblyOctober/November- School CO2lutions Event Day, including: Low Carbon Transport, Electric Vehicle Exhibition, Low Carbon Lunch, Dragons Den Workshops!Dragons Den FinalGreen Fund-raising Energy QuizLow Carbon Day 2015Ongoing Monthly Carbon ChallengesEach event will have different rewards and incentives available to students and their school alike.Want to find out more?We are currently in the process of enrolling schools onto the programme and with high interest and places limited, if you think school CO2lutions will be of value to your school please ensure you get in touch asap to avoid disappointment.

General Responsibilitys1. Supervise all tennis play, as directed by the tennis committee. 2. Supervise charging of court fees and other privilege fees.3. Supervise the rental of club/facility equipment and the maintenance thereof.4. Provide Excellent tennis instruction for all groups and levels of players.5. Supervise personnel such as assistant professionals, shop personnel, maintenance staff, etc., in the performance of their duties. 6. Enforce all the club rules and regulations governing the use of the facility, its equipment and other property.7. Operate and maintain a reputable pro shop staffed with competent personnel and featuring quality merchandise and services.8. Enthusiastically encourage tennis participation by planning events to promote the sport and fellowship in the club/facility. Prepare tennis clinics, films, fun playing events or tennis education programs, etc., for such activities.9. Represent the club in professional tennis activities, including tournaments.10. Attend regional coach meetings and professional development workshops
