I am a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. Over the course of my time at UMass I realized that my true passion is trying to develop better business models. Operations is the study of the nuts and bolts of business. By studying the structures of business the goal is to achieve better performance and quality. To create a truly high performing organization it is essential to manage various aspects of business including business image, goals, culture, organizational behavior, procedures, and processes. I have taken courses in high performing organizations, quality management, business analytics, and project management to develop skills to manage these aspects of business. Part of my philosophy of management is that a manager should empower their employees instead of micromanaging them. The goal is to set up the business in such a way that encourages creative thinking and empowered decision making; while insuring consistent high quality. I am an extremely passionate learner and always seek to maximize the potential of the situation I am in. I enjoy making authentic connections with the people I work with and desire to be a part of an organization that has a desire to achieve high performance and empowers the community around it by doing so. My other areas of study include political science and natural resource conservation.
