Additional responsibilities included ensuring all staff complied with current Health & Safety regulations. A major project was to restructure the RVRC. This involved reviewing processes, procedures and staff performance. The proposed recommendations were accepted by the Board of Directors and the restructure was implemented, with a saving of £80K.Additional responsibilities as General Manager of the RVRC were the accountability for the associated salary budget and all HR issues, including interviewing and recruitment.Other responsibilities included building and improving operational relationships with both internal and external customers, addressing their requests, evaluating their needs, recommending solutions, investigating complaints and ‘up selling’ products & services to deliver a quality service.This involved evaluating, costing and outsourcing certain services of the business; dealing directly with senior management & directors of the third party suppliers.
