Knowledge Global is a small Sydney technology company that is shaking up the energy industry by providing a data service that helps energy retailers slash their costs of acquisition. The data service is called kogbill and enables a consumer to upload their latest bill to a competing retailer's website and get an apples for apples comparison in seconds. Customers include Powershop, Origin Energy, Momentum and Victoria Energy Compare.

I joined UXC (as Eprise) in a predominantly pre-sales role but have ended up performing much more as a technical sustainability expert, coupled with a business development role. I also brought some senior Oracle BI experience to a predominantly Hyperion product focussed team. . As the Principal Business Intelligence Consultant, I have grown the team from a personal interest to forge a new business group. I have been integral in implementing best practice analysis and design processes across the team, as well as introduce the necessary forums for knowledge transfer in a growing team.I have primarily acted as the owner of the two major data warehouse applications used by John Swire (shipping and cold storage), responsible for account management, architecture, business analysis, design, training and tuning. The data warehouses are housed on a 10g database using Oracle Warehouse Builder for the ETL and reporting is delivered using Discoverer. I have consulted as an Enterprise Architect for two large government departments, one for an identity management project and one for a systems overhaul. Both projects involved a structured method of interviews and documentation, utilising business analysis and project management skills.

Swisslog are a large multinational supply chain management company providing warehouse management solutions for large companies such as Woolworth’s, Coca-Cola and Holden.I was employed as a Technical consultant, with my main role being the technical consultant to Woolworth’s for their distribution warehouses. The role included supporting and enhancing their Oracle based Warehouse Management system. I also provided technical expertise to the PL/SQL logic controlling the Holden I also helped develop the Oracle engine to the voice over IP picking facility, which uses voice recognition and generation to instruct pickers in the Warehouse. This project overcame a lot of technical difficulties around the voice recognition and VOIP telephony, to help Coca-Cola go live with their distribution centre serving all of Victoria.

Xenicom are a software company producing a Network Infrastructure tool for mobile telecommunications companies. I was initially employed as an A/P, whereby my role consisted solely on writing stored packages. In my first team leader role, I lead a small team to design and build a new module. In Australia I lead a small development team, in which we were assigned three development projects. On returning to Xenicom from ICT, I was employed as a Technical Consultant, in which I provided technical support to the Workflow team and enhanced the interface module. I was also brought in as a consultant to aid with a very high profile, workflow migration in the UK.
