I founded Madison Reading Project to address the literacy discrepancy and equity gap in the greater Dane County area. Since its inception, the nonprofit has provided over 500,000 books to children, hundreds of hours of literacy programming, and outreach and advocacy. I am thrilled to have Deirdre Steinmetz join me as co-executive director in July of 2024. We oversee and lead the mission, employees, volunteers, programming and board of directors and provide ongoing management to ensure the success and strategic plan of the book center, outreach programs, and our two bookmobiles.

I managed the marketing department and planned initiatives for the architecture, engineering, and construction firm. I worked with the business development team to target branding and business opportunities for their markets; commercial brokers, developers, business owners, and facility managers. Worked with the executive and business development team for internal and external marketing needs and opportunities. Created content, website copy, PR efforts, create and organize events for employees and customers, photography, social media, manage subcontractor relationships and marketing budget.

Oversee all aspects of marketing for Wisconsin Management Company and FGS The Restoration Company including strategy, marketing plans, content creation, social media, PR, event planning, newsletters, email marketing, and graphic design work.

Social Media Breakfast Madison is a non-profit volunteer-run organization with a focus on social media. At meetings, we focus on networking , caffeine, and education all offered for no charge for an ever-growing group of diverse professionals from a variety of industries. We focus on providing education and sharing information on best practices, strategy, tips, tools and measurement for all aspects of social media across an organization including customer service, marketing, public relations and sales. We meet monthly on the 3rd Wednesday from 7:30-9:30 a.m. and have a speaker or panel dedicated to sharing focused, rich content every meeting. The Foundation is a non-profit Wisconsin entity independent of NARI of Madison, Inc. The Foundation was specifically created to provide and support educational opportunities to enhance and develop remodeling professionals. The Foundation is young, being organized and officially created as a Wisconsin corporation in October 2011 and received the nod of approval from the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Hence, donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible as allowed by IRS rules.

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to professionalism throughout the industry. The purpose of NARI is to advance and promote the remodeling professionalism, product and vital public purpose.The mission of NARI- Madison chapter is to promote professionalism, education and ethics within the remodeling industry throughout our community. It is our vision that all remodelers will want to be part of NARI and customers will insist on contracting with our members.

Marketing, Sales, Event Planning and Social Media for BRAVA Magazine.South central Wisconsin’s premier women’s magazine, BRAVA Magazine is dedicated to celebrating the lives of all women in the greater Madison area. I worked with the publisher and director of marketing for an intense year of learning everything about magazine publishing and marketing. Event planning for all events including Women's Expo, Brava Night Out events with key vendors and contracts and other events for key demographics. I recreated the social channels and increased followers and engagement of their key demographic, women!

Africa Bridge offers a unique program for everyone to participate in helping others. They give the opportunity to create real and lasting change for vulnerable children in Tanzania.
