An independent (IT) application integration and web service specialist, with a broad range of experience spanning 30+ years, providing technical consultancy and application design/development services. Designs, develops and supports IT solutions utilising a diverse range of programming languages and frameworks, operating systems, network and middleware technologies, hardware systems, tools and methodologies. Contracted to IBM UK from 2003-2015 to work on a number of high-profile projects, such as the UK Immigration and Asylum Biometric System (IABS), which was highly-commended for project excellence in the 2012 BCS IT Industry awards. Currently contracted directly to the UK Government, developing RESTful web service applications for an ever-evolving greenfield project. Also engaged in training his first software developer apprentice (in partnership with South Gloucestershire and Stroud College), who joined his company in Oct 2018.
