• Build relationships with students in the College of Medicine to support their application of effective learning methods, academic self-efficacy, academic progress, and overall wellness.• Facilitate one-on-one appointments with students to collaboratively build optimal study plans for key milestones, reinforce productivity, develop adaptive habits, and overcome challenges to academic continuity and long-term goals. • Facilitate workshops and group events with medical students on planning for board exams, high-yield study strategies, and effectively distributing study time. • Lead committees on student progress to maintain congruence between staff on student status, on-going challenges, and best practices. • Hire, supervise, and manage peer and faculty-tutors to maintain the availability of advanced instruction for year one, year two, and special population students. • Maintain descriptive and evaluative statistics on systems and med-student population to identify high-risk students, assess programming, and adapt interventions to student context.

• Progressively develop new training materials to address points of interest and maintain the presence of current research within our academic services.• Facilitate one-on-one reviews and weekly team meetings with undergraduate and graduate staff to bolster staff synchronicity, guide staff development, and maintain an uplifting team environment. • Develop new partnerships with other campus colleges and departments to infuse center materials with greater breadths of research as well as increase the number of students connected to our services. • Provide quality appointment based interventions for graduate and undergraduate students in relationship to scholarly practices in order to strengthen the probability of desirable academic outcomes.• Develop and facilitate workshops for a variety of campus groups to provide instruction and practice on efficient academic methods. • Initiate the development of and author materials for assessment and research of the center’s services to inform the creation and modification of the center’s future service and training methodology.

• Develop personalized systems of integrating learning center materials and related research for student clients, synergizing their schedule, course-load, and interests with learning strategies to alleviate stress, end procrastination and strengthen organizational habits. • Conduct up to 20 workshops each quarter to classes and student organizations about memory, procrastination, stress, and test-taking to inform students of the benefit of learning strategies and the opportunities provided by the learning center. • Refine workshops through extracurricular research and the addition of new theories such as temporal discounting, state-based memory, and the loci method to keep content fresh and up-to-date. • Customize workshop presentation to each specific audience by altering the placement, timing, and style of composition to ensure clear understanding and interest. • Train other academic coaches on developed counseling systems through one-on-one instruction and correspondence to enhance the quality of appointment services. • Instruct academic coaches on workshop presentation through example, personal instruction, observation and co-participation to expand the confidence and communication quality of learning specialist staff.
